Wedding bells for the star couple
Plenty of good things are in store for the Bachchans, or so it would appear, as whispers of an Aishwarya-Abhishek romance and marriage grow louder. Tinsel town’s most eligible bachelor Abhishek Bachchan and Bollywood heart-throb Aishwarya Rai may tie the nuptial knot. Yes, this became apparent when Amitabh’s brother Ajitabh showed the horoscopes of the two stars to a well-known astrologer, Chandrashekhar Swamiji on the night of 10 February, 2006. The astrologer is reported to have given a go ahead saying “sooner the better”. However, there was no comment from the families of either side.

The astrologer is reported to have given a go ahead sayingAjitabh, who has now apparently patched up with his brother, was at the R.T. Nagar residence of the astrologer. He stayed over for the night and left for Mumbai yesterday. Aishwarya’s father was believed to be the common link between the astrologer and the Bachchans. Chandrashekhar Swamiji belonged to Punaroor in Mangalore, the native place of the Rai family. Aishwarya’s family is said to consult the astrologer on important matters.
Aishwarya visited him two months back while on her way to Tirupati. The astrologer has also conducted poojas for the Rai family. An aide of the astrologer said Chandrashekhar Swami also advised others in Bollywood, including Dilip Kumar. The visit is being taken very seriously in movie circles due to the apparent consent being given to the tie-up between the two leading stars by their parents.
Reports of a link up between the two started on the sets of J P Dutta`s “Umrao Jaan” starring 30-year old Abhishek and and Aishwarya, two years older to him, during the shooting in Jaipur recently.
Aishwarya was the only guest to be allowed direct entry into the Bachchan`s residence “Jalsa” for Abhishek`s birthday bash on February 5 while others had to alight at the gate and then walk in. Reports had it that the duo danced all evening after Abhishek persuaded the beauty queen to get on to the dance floor. Both have paired in a couple of movies like “Dhai Akshar Prem Ke”, “Kuch Na Kaho” and also starred in the hit song “Kajra re” along with Amitabh in film “Bunty Aur Babli”.Both Abhishek and Aishwarya have a history of broken relationship. While Abhishek was formally engaged to actress Karishma Kapoor, Aishwarya was linked with actors Salman Khan and later Vivek Oberoi.
